This Policy describes how GIRI Trading Agency Private Limited ("Daily Divines", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the Daily Divines platform — including www.dailydivines.com and the Daily Divines mobile application (collectively, "the Platform").

By registering on or using the Platform, you consent to the collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described herein. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

When you register, place an order, contact us, or interact with the Platform, we may collect:

  • Mobile number (used for OTP-based login and delivery communication)

  • Date of birth (optional, used for birthday offers)
  • Delivery address(es), including floor, landmark, and pincode
  • GSTIN (if you request a business invoice)
  • Payment-related information (processed by our third-party payment gateway — we do not store card or UPI details)
  • Communication history — support tickets, chat messages, call records, and emails
  • Feedback, ratings, and reviews submitted on the Platform

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information — type, model, operating system, and version
  • App version and session data
  • IP address and approximate location derived from IP
  • Browser type and language settings
  • Pages visited, products viewed, search queries, and time spent
  • Referral source
  • Crash reports and performance diagnostics
  • Push notification engagement data

2.3 Location Data

With your explicit permission, the app collects your precise real-time location to verify your delivery zone, assign the nearest dark store, provide delivery time estimates, and enable live order tracking. You may revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. Revoking access may affect your ability to place orders.

2.4 Information from Third Parties

If you register or log in via Google or Facebook, we may receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that service. If you interact with our social media pages or campaigns, we may receive engagement data from those platforms.

2.5 Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for session management, preference storage, analytics, and marketing. Types used:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: Required for core functions (login, cart). Cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand Platform usage (e.g., Google Analytics).

  • Communicate order status via SMS, WhatsApp, and in-app notifications
  • Facilitate payment processing
  • Generate GST-compliant invoices

  • Create and maintain your registered account
  • Verify identity through OTP-based authentication
  • Store saved addresses for faster checkout
  • Maintain order history and wishlist

3.3 To Improve the Platform

  • Analyse usage patterns
  • Personalise experience based on browsing and order history
  • Conduct internal research and analytics
  • Develop new features and product categories

3.4 To Communicate with You

  • Transactional communications — order confirmations, delivery updates, payment receipts, refund notifications
  • Promotional communications — festive offers, new launches, personalised deals (only with consent; opt out anytime)
  • Respond to queries, complaints, and support requests

3.5 To Ensure Safety and Security

  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud and unauthorised access
  • Enforce Terms & Conditions and Platform policies
  • Comply with legal obligations and court orders
  • Protect the safety of delivery partners, customers, and staff

3.6 For Marketing and Advertising

We run targeted advertising on platforms such as Google and Meta using anonymised or hashed data. You may opt out at any time via My Account → Notification Preferences or by emailing crmtl@giri.in. Opting out does not affect transactional communications.

Section 4: How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for their independent marketing purposes. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Delivery Partners: Name, mobile number, and address shared solely to fulfil your order.
  • Payment Processors: PCI-DSS compliant gateways (e.g., Razorpay, PayU). We do not store card or UPI credentials.
  • Technology & Service Providers: Cloud hosting, CRM, analytics, marketing, mapping — all bound by confidentiality agreements.
  • Group Companies & Affiliates: For internal business purposes, subject to the same data protection standards.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may transfer to the acquiring entity. We will notify you in advance.
  • Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Disclosed when required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
  • With Your Consent: For any other purposes, only with your explicit consent.

Section 5: Data Retention

  • Account data: Duration of account + 3 years after deletion
  • Order & transaction data: Minimum 7 years (GST Act, Income Tax Act)
  • Customer support records: Up to 2 years from resolution
  • Delivery partner communication logs: Up to 6 months
  • Marketing preferences & opt-out records: Indefinitely

When data is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymise it.

Section 6: Data Security

We implement technical and organisational security measures including SSL/TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls, regular security audits, PCI-DSS compliant payment processing, OTP-based two-factor authentication, and secure data centres.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by law. Please do not share your OTP or password with anyone. Report suspected unauthorised access to crmtl@giri.in.

Section 7: Your Rights

  • Right to Access: Request a copy of your personal information. We respond within 30 days.
  • Right to Correction: Update details via My Account or contact crmtl@giri.in.
  • Right to Deletion: Request deletion via My Account → Request Account Deletion, dailydivines.com/page/request-for-account-deletion, or crmtl@giri.in. Certain data may be retained as required by law.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw marketing consent anytime via My Account → Notification Preferences.
  • Right to Object: Object to processing for direct marketing or where your rights override ours.
  • Right to Data Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to Lodge a Complaint: Contact our Grievance Officer or approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Section 8: Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at crmtl@giri.in.

Your personal data is primarily stored and processed in India. Certain third-party service providers may process your data on servers outside India. Where such transfers occur, we ensure adequate safeguards in accordance with applicable Indian data protection law. By using the Platform, you consent to such transfers.

Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance.

Section 14: General

This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions continue in full force. This Policy, along with our Terms & Conditions, Shipping & Delivery Policy, and Cancellation, Returns & Refund Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Daily Divines regarding the use of your personal data.
